MY PERSONAL OPINION ABOUT PALMER WRITES

Palmer writes: “ My ability to connect with my students and to connect them with the subject, depends less on the methods I use than on the degree to which I know and trust my selfhood—and I am willing to make it available and vulnerable in the service of learning” (p.10). What does it mean to rely on your selfhood rather than methods.

As a teachers, we can´t depent of a method.In most of the cases methods helps teachers to development a class, but what happen when we have disruptive students?, teachers can´t follow the as the method say, and somehow the teacher has to develop the class, it is there when the selfhood enter in acction,and the teacher should use the energy,dinamism,and all the creative in order to develop an interesting class.
Remember that sometimes the teacher has to be an actor....
