HOMEWORK

Resultado de imagen para los cinco sentidos
Based on what you learn about each other learners styles ,what are some activities we can do in the classroom to meet everyone styles?

As you can sees in the picture, I have a picture of the five senses in order to catch the four styles of learning which I have to take into account. The four styles of learning  that exist in the classroom must be develop within a classroom in order to teach the four kind of learner through presenting audios, photographs, objects and if possible odors and flavors with the idea of making the most meaningful instruction for all students, not just for a few.

Why it is important to be able to explain to someone how you learn?

Well, it is important to facilitate learning and to adapt the activities to be developed.

How does "knowing who you are" your behavior and your relationship with others?

Well, I think it's important to know oneself, to know what our mistakes and qualities and if others accept us how come we do not accept them. Sometimes our behavior can be worse than others, and once we know that we will be able to understand others and to accept all and differences they would have.

GOOD MOMENTS VRS BAD MOMENTS IN CLASSROOM.

             ETERNAL MINUTES

Describe a moment in teaching when things went so well you knew you were “born to teach” and compare it to a moment in which things went so poorly you wished you had never been born! Name the gifts that made this good moment possible—not the techniques you used or the moves you made, but your qualities.

This happened to me a few times at the beginning of my practices. I did not know the activities that could develop within the class.  Anyway, I finished the activities and time not yet ended and students were beginning to despair and to make noise, and could not control them, and the teacher from next door came to silence my students and it was there when wish not be a teacher.
Having had that bad experience I learned that it is always good a couple of extra activities.
Now things are different; because I have improved classroom management and no longer pass me those disorders and the relationship is successful today. Today I have always things to do and not enough time. Anyways , I like to teach now.

CHAPTER III .The hidden wholeeness. Paradox in teaching and learning.

THINK THE WORLD APART
In what ways have you experienced "suffering" as a student teacher?
Well I can not call it suffering, have been rather uncomfortable situations I've been through. What happens is that there are always students who do not want to pay attention, they want to be playing or talking and when  Icall their attention they get angry and try to intimidate.

Has your suffering had any redemptive quality to it; that it, has it made your heart large?
I've had the opportunity to experience that feeling when you manage to make a change in a student. I recommended a student to attend a center  " Hit at my Neighborhood"  they have programs that could help you, and the next week a student told me that was attending the center and he was learning English. Knowing that was satisfying and I was pleased.

What would help you deepen the redemptive quality of the suffering your experience in your work?
Well, I think that the triumphs of the students will be my triumphs and failures will also be my failures. For that reason I will always strive for my student to became in good people for this society.

Name some of your keys gifts or strengths as a teacher?
For the different experiences I've had in my life I can tell my students how difficult it is to face the world without any preparation, that I consider it as a strength because each time that students do not want to work,  I told them about some bad experiences I had in my life and their attention is focused on me, and so I put them in to the class.

Now name a struggle or difficulty you commonly have in teaching?
One of the struggles I faced in the class is when I write on the board, I fear to write wrong words which causes to turn me slow because I think first in order to do not comit misstake.

How do you understand your relation between your profile  of giftedness and the kind of trouble you typically get into in the classroom?

As a teacher we have to take every advantage and always one or two steps ahead of potential problems that can we face.In nowadays teachers currently faced with problems that  become very common and thanks to the courses that we receive before entering to the medium of instruction,  now we can deal with this kind of problems.

LEARNING STYLES

1 - What might happen if you don´t understand your learning style?
well, in my case, understanding how my learning is more meaningful is the most important, otherwise it would be like a ship at sea without direction.

2 - If you understan your individual learning style, what this allow you to do?
For me to understand how to learn is as important as it helps me understand what I should do to learn, is like a blueprint that uses  engineer when they are building

3 - In my own words, description of the four learning style and write down the suggested question that will help you remember the main characteristic of learning style.

Very important to know about learning styles, you learn without knowing what your learning style until you know them.
Kinesthetic learning is when people learn through movements which are made by the teacher, moves like; gestures, hand and arm movements, or touch objetos.Kinesthetic learning mimics.
Auditory learning This group of learners learn through listening audios, discussions, and debates, their strengths are  in their ears, allowing them to assimilate and understand the issues in a faster way
Learning reading; this other group is characterized by reading make learning becomes meaningful and their ability to assimilate and understand is quite wide which allows them to retain much information.
Learning writing ; In this group within me, I believe that through writing more although I understand that it is slower than other learning styles but when I write analyze and understand what I'm doing.
 Style 1 kenesthetic learners.
question. what can I do?
skills. comprenhetion through movements.
Style 2 Auditory learners.
question.What I want to hear?
skills. comprenhetion through sounds.
Style 3 Learning reading.
question. What I´m reading?
skill.  ability to retain information and understand.
Style 4 Learning writing.
question. Is it interesting?
skills.  ability to write correctly.
Style 4 Vision.
question. What I seem?
skills.comprenhetion through movements,
recognize colors and shapes.
As conclusion, learning through sight is the most complete because it is where the other four styles work.

A CULTURE OF FEAR (EVELYN FOX KEELLER )

Evelyn says of Nobel Prize winner Barbara McClintock that her knowing camefrom "the higthest form of love, love that allows for intimacy without the annihilation of differents"
Does this kind of love have a lace in education? if not ,why not? if so, how might it be taugth? how might it make a difference if we could teach students to lovethe world in this way?

According to what I have learned in practice and see how is the relationship between teachers and students I can say that: This kind of love is possible and if it takes a very special place in learning, but I think this is possible with young teachers because after twenty or twenty five years of service teachers lose their sensitivity and interest of students to learn decreases ; opposite a young teacher, because a young teacher is more dynamic. In my personal opinion as a teacher must love our profession and teach with dedication and interest for our students to learn and not just the academic part  also values.  Do not forget to put God ahead because today is a way to help new generations.
There are so many areas where we can work, for example, teach our students to love our national symbols, to respect our cultural sites, to love the school, the country, I think that if the teacher demonstrates these values the student learns them .In conclusion we are teachers who can change the reality of our society ... I hope the time to put my two cents --

CULTERE OF FEAR.

1 - What are some of my fear in the classroom ?
I think like most people, the biggest fear is to be wrong and someone points out the error and criticize.
2 - How do I deal with my fear in the classroom ?
For me, fear is a challenge we have in our lives, and when I have to go through something scares me, prefer to face it as soon as possible and in the classroom I like to think I'll be always learning and I will always have mistakes like every human being.
3 - What have I learned about my self and about fears as a result?
I've learned that when you know what you are doing does not have to be afraid.

Palmer writes said "Good teaching is an act of hospitality toward the young, and hospitality is always an act that benefits the host even more than a guess".

1 - In what specific ways do I think a teacher has to be hospitality to the students?
hospitality is related to a good deal. If I recived bad treat in place I'm not back to visit. Likewise I think it's the school, the teacher has to create a good environment for students to feel safe and comfortable.
2 - In what ways do teachers treat students as unwelcome guest?
Mistreatment student, not teaching students,  not feel interest for them, not respect them, and so on.
3 - How teachers benefit from practicing hospitality towar students?
When the teacher has good relationships with the students, things are easier, students are more responsible and respectful which enables better learning.

A fear that I once felt but no longer.

I was afraid to talk to people who were academically prepared, because I felt afraid to they ask me about my work. known to buses drivers are the worst and although I'm not like most motorists are, but I felt that gave me bad reference; in contrast, today I feel different and very important with the idea that I will be teacher and want to be a good one.
1 -  What caused me face my fear?
It was in college where I learned to overcome my fears, for the trust and support that my teachers gave me.
2 - What help me to loos from my fear?
I was never treated poorly in college, all the teachers helped me and that gave me confidence.
3 - What where the result?
Well, now I feel a professional and there is something in me that will help others and it makes me feel important and safe.
4 - What did I learn?
Different methods, strategies, to motivate people to give a good deal to live, there are so many things to express and something that I'm sure teacher, I'm not the same, now my dreams are different, now my dreams are larger.

JANE TOMPKINS GOALS VRS WILFREDO GOALS

Jane Tompkins discovered that her goal as a teacher had been to put on “performance,” thus distancing herself from students and subject (pp.28-29).  Do you identify with her self-criticism? If so, do you share Tompkins’s diagnosis of fear as the driving force behind this distancing? In what ways other than “performance” do teachers set themselves apart?

With the passing of the years things have changed a lot and today the difficulties had before are very different today, perhaps student needs are the same but their contexts are not therefore the objectives have to be different. I was taught in the old school and now I teach in the new school and things are different. My goals are to change the selfless life that students live a life of purpose, teach them that a life without purpose is pointless and the only thing that is in a person who does not has purposes is badness.

REFLECTING IN MY EARLIEST ENCOUNTERS WITH TEACHIG

III.    Reflect on your earliest encounters with teaching.  If you are drawn to teaching, when did you first feel drawn to it? What was it that drew you? What within you was evoked by teaching—its values, its methods, the way it names and frames reality? What does the nature of teaching reveal about who you are? If you aren’t, share a story about one of your favorite teachers.  What do you recall most vividly about that teacher? What was his / her relation to the subject taught? What was the ethos of his/ her classroom?

Recalling the first time I was in front of the student I can say that I was a mess, I was filled with nerves and I did not want to be there .At first it was hard, I had no words to speak to students, I was afraid to write on the board and keep control of the classroom was the hardest part. But step by step through the classes and some advice from my tutor I learned to control the situation, but I always felt insecure when teaching a class, especially when the tutor was infront.
After all these experiences, I began to realize that I already had an advantage, I'm older than them, I have many experiences,  I have no reason to be afraid and  also I earn respect from my students and I started to feel like a real teacher.
realized that teaching is more than a process or a class, teaching is everywhere and also very significant.
The physical education teacher is the most memory I have. He was very hard with the students, but I remember that we had the best team of the city and we won many champions...he was a dedicate teacher and not only in the field court but also as a friend...
